OK Appaloosa's has been breeding Appaloosa horses for over forty years and strives for excellence with each foal. Whether you are looking for conformation for halter, performance for reining or roping or just a good quality dependable horse for going down the trail we have the bloodlines that have proven themselves time and time again.
 
OK Appaloosa's was founded by Frank and Bonnie Keirle in 1967 in Acme Alberta. After purchasing the stallion Kitty Gangster from Gordon Rowley a love affair with the Appaloosa breed began. Since then the herd grew to an amazing size of over 600 horses and captured the title of North America's largest breeder! Bloodlines have included Rock Star, Skip Bright, Impressive, Scooter Bug G, Dash For Cash and Easy Jet to name just a few.
 
From 2004 to 2007 OK Appaloosa's has since downsized the herd dispersing mares, foals and stallions all across North America and Frank and Bonnie have since retired leaving the OK Appaloosa's name to their son Wesley Keirle along with his girlfriend and partner Nevada Bauer. The herd is a much more manageable size but all the quality remains.
 
Early 2009 we made the desicion to sell the farm and the horses and move closer to Wes's work.  As of the fall all of the mares and foals have gone to their new homes.  A great big thank you goes out to all of you that purchased a mare or foals, some purchased more then 1.  OK Appaloosas would like to personally thank:
